Sharing meals with others is a natural and gratifying act that shows love and respect towards our loved ones. In most countries, especially in India, I think it is a custom of every house to share meals with others. So here I will shed some light on the incident when my friend __ cooked pasta for me.
I remember three months back, I went to the house of my friend who had recently returned from Canada to spend a few months in India. So, he invited me to visit his home. I was on cloud nine after hearing the news about his visit to India and also excited to meet him after so long. Finally, the day came, and I went to his home. When I saw him, I hugged him and we both got emotional. After that, he showed his hospitality by serving some snacks and soft drinks.
Along with it, he started sharing some experiences of Canada with me, and I was surprised to hear that he was working as a cook in a restaurant in Canada. So, to show his culinary skills he decided to make pasta for me because he knew it’s my favourite dish. Firstly, he took pasta and boiled it until it was soft and while boiling he added some salt. On the other side, he chops some ingredients like onion, tomato, green Veggies, ginger, and garlic then cooks them in a pan with some oil for about 3 to 4 minutes and adds some spices like salt, red pepper powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder. In the end, he mixed pasta into the mixture of spices and vegetables and cooked it for 2 minutes.
Finally, the dish was ready. When he served the pasta, it looked mouth-watering to me, and I could not control myself to eat it when I took my first bite of it, it was extremely scrumptious/delicious. I was walking in the air after watching the efforts of my friend to make my day so special and it was a precious day for me, which we spent and laughed a lot by remembering our school days. Moreover, it was more than just a meal; it was the moment of connection and friendship that brought as more closer to each other. To cut a long story short, it was the time when my friend cooked my favourite dish for me.
