People’s shopping habits depend more on the age group that they belong to than other factors. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In the contemporary landscape, shopping has become an indispensable part of everyone’s life. It is considered by some individuals that age plays an utmost  imperative role in shopping habits as compared to other aspects. I largely disagree with this notion due to various reasons that would be discussed in the forthcoming paragraphs.

With the view to discuss why people’s shopping habits rely on age group. First and the foremost is that individual requirements more depend on the age group they belong to. With the respect to costume , comfort  and fashion get a change in each category of age. According to age, distinct people need different things. To cite an example, things which are necessary for school life might not be important at university level. So shopping for those things get reduced and as per necessity new things get added.

When it comes to question why other factors are essential to buy items/why shopping habits depend on other factors. The prime one is financial status. To elaborate it, the preference of an affluent people is more towards expensive products as they can easily afford it. Whereas, poverty stricken and middle class individuals have to see their pockets. To purchase anything, money is crucial. Another worth considering reason is that shopping relies on gender difference. As the women have distinct choices rather than men. Females buy more household items, children’s clothing and many more other things. While, male gives priority to purchase their personal products such as clothes and vehicles.  Therefore, the interest of both sexes is different for buying something.

To conclude, it is quite evident that although age is the major factor that responsible for shopping habits, other aspects such as gender and financial status can not be neglected.
