Nowadays, arguments have become a common part of our daily life. There are several reasons when people argue with each other. Some arguments quite simple and which we usually do with our family members and friends. However, some are very hard to tackle. Here, I would like to talk about when two of my friends argued with each other. I remember It happened when we normally talked about a topic that people are not satisfied with their job and salary. Suddenly topic change into a debate and my two best friends started a hot debate on big salaries versus job satisfaction. Raman and Gagan are my close friends. Raman said that high remuneration is more significant than contentment at the workplace but Gagan had the opposite viewpoint. Both had their own opinion regarding this issue.
As one was saying having a hefty pay scale helps a person to stay delighted. People can easily fulfill their desires. Conversely, when an individual does not have high remuneration they often feel dissatisfied and distressed which leads to diseases such as depression and heart ailments.
While other was in favor of Job satisfaction plays a very important role in an individual life, when people are happy with their work, they work efficiently and without any force. The atmosphere at the workplace becomes very pleasant, as well as, they achieve their goal with a high success rate since they are in the area of their interest. Both did not agree with each other viewpoints. In fact, they started a strong argument with each other.
But When I told them both factors are important for the survival of humankind. Then they listened to me and understood the matter. So this was an argument between two of my friends.
1. Do you think arguments are important?
yes, it is important to keep in mind that conflict and arguing can be very beneficial to the health of friendships and romantic relationships. Arguments are crucial in everyone’s life because when we argue we learn about what others think.
2. What do family members generally argue about?
Of course, there are numerous reasons why families argue with each other. Firstly, family financial conflict is top of the list, If members of a family feel they have been treated unfairly or not given their fair share. Secondly, Families often argue about topics related to major and even minor events, on issues such as: who is on (and who is left out of) the invite list, who is paying for what, which dates work for everyone, the location of the event, and so on.
3. Is it easier for you to have arguments with your friends or family members?
Having an argument with a family member is a normal part of life that is bound to happen even in the healthiest of families. Even though it’s normal, you may still experience negative feelings such as sadness, hurt, anger, and frustration. On the other hand, Sometimes fights are easy to move on from and they can make your friendship stronger and closer.
4. If two people argue, do you think a third person should be involved in the settlement?
Yes, third person involvement is necessary when two-person argued with each other because the third person can easily solve the issue. According to me, sometimes the third person’s involvement can bring a quick solution, otherwise, arguments can go on for days.
5. Why do you think people are stubborn and unwilling to change?
One is stubborn mostly because of strong ego and ignorance and not being flexible in one’s attitude, not being ready to listen to alternative solutions and he thinks that only he knows what’s good(best) for him. For example, when a person feels no one can understand his perspective, and thus no point in explaining it to others.
6. Do you think you are stubborn?
I’m extremely stubborn for example, When I talk to people, and I think they’re wrong for example, I try to understand why they think that way and try to convey the message in a way that works with their internal workings. I criticize them with their own views and talk about actions and consequences in that sense.
7. Will you be willing to change?
yes, I want to change myself because I know that a soft-skill person can easily win the heart of other people. I know it would take time but it’s not impossible.
