Mountain out of a molehill – exaggerate problem

To begin with, when it comes to solving problems, some people have the ability to think on their feet and come up with solutions that are both quick and effective. One such person who truly impressed me with his sharp mind and practical approach is my friend Aman, who is well known in our group for keeping a cool head in difficult situations.

The problem was related to our group project. A few days before the final submission, our computer system suddenly crashed, and we lost an important file that contained all our data and presentations. Everyone in the group panicked because we felt that weeks of hard work had gone down the drain, and there was very little time left to start everything from scratch.

However, Aman remained calm and did not lose his temper. Instead of worrying, he immediately checked the backup settings and our cloud storage. He recalled that he had once enabled the auto-save option on Google Drive. Within a few minutes, he managed to recover an earlier version of the file from the cloud. After that, he used some basic software tools to restore the remaining data and asked each of us to quickly update our respective parts.

I believe he solved the problem in a smart way because he did not panic or blame anyone. Rather, he kept his presence of mind and used technology in a sensible manner. His quick thinking, technical knowledge, and ability to work under pressure saved both our project and our valuable time.

Overall, this experience taught me that truly smart people do not lose their cool in stressful situations. They stay calm, think logically, and find effective solutions instead of making a mountain out of a molehill.

Follow-ups

1. Do you think children are born smart or do they learn to become smart?
To begin with, I believe children are born with natural abilities, but their intelligence develops through the environment they grow up in. Family, school, and society play an important role in shaping their thinking skills. With proper guidance, encouragement, and learning opportunities, children can improve their intelligence and reach their full potential.

2. How do children become smart at school?
In my opinion, children become smart at school by learning in different ways, such as observing, listening, exploring, and asking questions. They also learn through activities, group work, experiments, and games, which help them understand things better and develop both academic and practical skills.

3. Why are some people well-rounded and others only good at one thing?
From my point of view, some people have a wide range of interests and abilities, so they try many activities and become skilled in different areas. On the other hand, some people focus mainly on one field they are passionate about, so they develop deep knowledge and become experts in that particular area.

4. Why does modern society need talent of all kinds?
Without a doubt, modern society needs people with different talents because progress depends on new ideas, creativity, and teamwork. When individuals with varied skills work together, they can solve problems more effectively and help society grow in a balanced way.
