Throughout my life, I have encountered numerous critical situations, but I never lose hope and always learn something new from them. Today, I would like to talk about a particular challenge that I initially underestimated but turned out to be quite difficult.

It was when my school principal organized a speech competition at my educational institute, and my class in-charge selected me to participate. I cannot fully express how proud I felt at that moment—I was walking on air. After returning home, I chose the topic of environmental problems and prepared my speech with my mother’s help. My mother has a habit of always teaching me something new, and she instilled in me the belief that “nothing is impossible if you try.’’

On the final day, I was full of enthusiasm and ready to deliver my speech. However, when I went on stage, I suddenly felt frustrated, and my legs began to shiver due to the large gathering of parents and students. Delivering my speech in front of them seemed like an uphill task, but I recalled my mother’s lesson from the day before and began to speak.

I delivered my speech with full confidence, determined not to break the trust of my teachers, who had selected me out of the entire class because of their unbreakable trust and belief in my excellent performance.

In the end, I successfully delivered my speech. This experience taught me a valuable lesson about overcoming challenges and staying confident, no matter how daunting the situation may seem.

    Follow -ups

    1. Why do some people enjoy doing extreme sports?
Some people enjoy extreme sports because they feel exciting and adventurous. For example, activities like skydiving can make them feel thrilled and alive. Also, achieving something difficult gives them a sense of accomplishment.

    2. What challenge would people face when learning new sports?
When learning new sports, one common challenge is developing the necessary skills and fitness. For example, when someone starts playing tennis, they might struggle with hitting the ball accurately and moving quickly on the court. Additionally, staying motivated can be difficult, but it’s important to keep practicing to improve.

    3. What activities do you think would make children feel challenged? Why?
Activities like team sports and puzzles can challenge children because they need both physical effort and thinking. For example, playing soccer requires running and making smart decisions. These activities help children grow stronger and smarter.

    4. Do most people choose to face a challenge alone or with others?
Most people prefer to face challenges with others because it provides support and motivation. For example, exercising in a group can be more encouraging than doing it alone. Sharing the experience makes the challenge feel easier and more fun.

5.Is it easy for children to overcome a challenge?
It’s not always easy for children to overcome a challenge because they might not have much experience. However, with help and encouragement from parents and teachers, children can learn to handle challenges well. For example, they might need support to do well in tough subjects like math.

    6. What do children often do when they face a challenge?
When children face a challenge, they often ask for help from adults or friends. For instance, if homework is hard, they might ask a teacher or a parent for guidance. They might also try different ways to solve the problem and not give up easily.
