Well, people quickly lose contact with friends, especially school and college friends, in today’s fast-paced life. I also experienced this as I lost touch with many friends due to my hectic schedule. But, thanks to technology, it is a piece of cake to reconnect with others regardless of distance. People can talk with each other by doing a video call from their homes.

Hence, I would like to talk about my school friend, whom I found on Facebook. Her name is __. We studied together for about seven years. Her family shifted to Mohali, and I had her number, but unfortunately, my phone got damaged, and I lost the number of my closest friend.

We were like family members, and she always gave me a helping hand. She was not only excellent in academics but also in sports. I missed her a lot. Although I tried hard to find her contact, I failed.

Last month, I was scrolling through my Facebook account and entered her name in the search box. Luckily, her account showed up in the list. I clicked on it and sent a friend request to her. She accepted it the next day. We were both on cloud nine and recalled our previous school moments.

After that, we also exchanged our numbers and started calling each other. I felt thrilled since I had been trying to find her contact for many years. Now, whenever we call each other, we laugh a lot and always share everything. I want to thank advanced technology, which assisted me in finding my bosom friend.
So, to cut a long story short, she is an old friend I lost contact with and got in touch with again.

Follow-ups

1. Why do we have to give up some old friends?
To begin with, people often give up old friends because of changing circumstances. For example, moving to a new city for work or studies can create physical distance. Additionally, as we grow and evolve, our interests and priorities may change, making it harder to relate to old friends.

2. Why do people need to make new friends?
Firstly, making new friends helps us expand our social network and gain new perspectives. For instance, meeting people from different backgrounds can enrich our understanding of the world. Moreover, new friends can offer support and companionship in our current life situation.

3. Why do old friends lose touch with each other?
Typically, old friends lose touch due to busy schedules and life changes. For example, starting a new job or raising a family can consume a lot of time and energy. Furthermore, lack of regular communication can gradually weaken the bond.

4. Do you think you are good at maintaining good relationships with others?

6. Is it better to have a lot of friends than just a few friends?
In general, having a lot of friends can be advantageous. For instance, a larger social network can offer more support and opportunities. However, it is also important to have a few close friends who truly understand and support you in different circumstance and with whom one can share all worries and joyful experience .
