    DAY 1

    SINGULAR / PLURAL

    SINGULAR :- is that  refers to one person, place or thing. 

    For Example:- Cat, Book, Girl, House, Mango etc. 

    PLURAL:- is that refers to more than one person, place or For Example:- Cats, Books,Girls, Houses, Mango etc.

    He,She, It aresingulars while I, We, You, They are plurals.

    we can use -s/-es with SINGULAR but it has a rule that if any word has s,x,z,sh,ch  in last then we can use -es. Apart from this, we use -s with singulars.

    For Example:- bus or buses 

     bus it is singular but if we talk about more than one then we should say buses and there is “s” in the last of bus so we use -es as buses.

    NOUN 

    A noun refers to the words that are used to name persons, things, animals, places, ideas or events. in other words, we can say that these are the naming words like:- boys, manav, class, sheep, happiness and so on.

    There are some examples of nouns :-

    1. This book is new.

    The underlined word is noun and refers to a thing.

    2. Mansa is my beloved city.

    Same as above Mansa refers to a place.

    3. Shakespeare is a great dramatist.

    Shakespeare is a noun and refers to a person.

    4. Lionis the king of the jungle.

    Lion is noun and refers to animal.

    There are several types of noun as explained below:-

    1. Common noun :-  They are just generic of persons,places,things. 

    For Example:-House,School,girl, boy,cloth,city etc.

    2. proper noun :- They always start with a capital letter and refers to specific names of persons,places,things.

    For Examples:- Bharat, The Adi Granth, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji,Shri Anandpur Sahib etc.

    DAILY USE SENTENCES

    What is your name?

    My name is……

    How are you?

    I am fine.

    What happened?

    Nothing is happening.

    Why are you crying?

    Nice to meet you.
