Well, to kick things off, I believe sharing is an essential part of human relationships. It not only helps others in times of need but also strengthens bonds and builds trust. Now, I’d like to talk about a time when I had to share my laptop with one of my classmates. This happened during my final year at college, while we were working on a group presentation.
The person I shared it with was my friend and project partner, Simran. She’s extremely hardworking, but unfortunately, her laptop broke down just two days before our final presentation. It was completely unexpected, and she was feeling quite stressed.
As luck would have it, I had recently bought a new laptop that was fast and equipped with the software we needed, including PowerPoint and Excel. So, without giving it a second thought, I offered her to use my laptop so we could finish our work on time.
The main reason I had to share it was because we had a tight deadline, and teamwork was crucial. Besides, I felt it was my responsibility to help her since we were both going to be graded as a team. As the saying goes, “a friend in need is a friend indeed.”
Now, coming to how I felt about it, honestly, I was a little hesitant at first because I usually don’t let anyone use my laptop—it contains personal files and important documents. However, seeing her struggle and knowing how important this project was for both of us, I chose to overlook that.
In the end, I was actually glad I shared it. We worked together efficiently, completed the presentation on time, and even got good marks. More importantly, I was over the moon knowing that I was able to support a friend in a tough situation.
All in all, it turned out to be a rewarding experience and reminded me that sharing isn’t just about things—it’s about showing kindness and building stronger relationships.
