A gift always brings a smile to our face whenever we receive it. Moreover, it shows our importance in someone else’s life. Gifts can be a great source of motivation and inspiration, and they can come in many forms such as money, books, clothes, or gadgets. I have received many gifts in my life, and they always make me feel happy. Today, I would like to talk about a special gift I received in the form of money.

I vividly remember that this happened when I was in the 10th standard. Our school had organized a cultural program, and all the parents along with some chief guests were invited to attend the event. On that occasion, I participated in a singing competition because, by God’s grace, I have a melodious voice. I sang a traditional Punjabi folk song. After I finished singing, everyone applauded my performance.

At that moment, the honorable chief guest came forward and gave me 5,000 rupees as he was really impressed by my singing. I felt over the moon because it was a very proud moment for me. When I went back home, my parents were extremely proud as well. In fact, my father decided to add some money and buy a harmonium for me.

This gift really helped me polish my talent further, and since then, I have won many singing competitions. So, this monetary gift was not just a reward but also a great motivation for me to continue improving my singing skills.

    Follow-ups

    1. Why do people rarely use cash flow?
People rarely use cash flow because many prefer digital payments for convenience. Also, using cards or mobile apps is faster and safer. For example, people pay bills online instead of using cash.
    2. When do children begin to comprehend the value of money?
Children usually start understanding the value of money around the age of 5 or 6. At this age, they learn that money is needed to buy things. For example, they may save pocket money to buy a toy they want.
    3. Should parents reward children with money?
Parents can reward children with money to teach them about earning and saving. However, it should be balanced with other types of praise. For example, giving a small amount for good behavior can motivate children

4 Is it good and necessary to teach children to save money?
Yes, it is important to teach children to save money from an early age. Saving helps them develop good financial habits. For            instance, children can save for something special instead of spending immediately.

5 What are the advantages and disadvantages of credit cards?
Credit cards are useful because they offer convenience and build credit history. However, they can lead to debt if not used                carefully. For example, some people spend more than they can repay.

6  Do you think it’s a good thing that more people are using digital payments?
Yes, digital payments are good because they are quick and reduce the need to carry cash. They also help with tracking                       expenses. For example, mobile wallets allow people to pay easily at stores or online.
