What outdoor activity you did there

    Vocab/Idioms

    1. Monotonous routine → Boring life
    2. Fresh as a daisy → Very fresh
    3. Icing on the cake → Extra benefit
    4. Piece of cake → Very easy
    5. On cloud nine → Very happy

Well, to begin with, I strongly believe outdoor activities play a big role in keeping us healthy as well as stress-free. Here, I would like to share my experience of visiting Chandigarh and doing a fun outdoor activity there.

Actually, about two months ago, during my summer break, I went to Chandigarh with my cousin. Since we were tired of our monotonous routine, we wanted to explore a place that is modern, clean, and also offers outdoor recreation.

When we arrived there, I must say, the city looked fresh as a daisy with its well-planned roads, green belts, and beautiful gardens. We explored some local attractions, but the icing on the cake was the outdoor activity we decided to try at Sukhna Lake.

Speaking of which, the most enjoyable activity I did there was boating. At first, I thought it would be just a piece of cake, but when I tried it, I found it needed teamwork and effort. Still, once we got used to it, it was really enjoyable. The cool breeze, the sparkling water, and the view of Shivalik Hills made me feel on cloud nine.

The main reason I did this activity was that I hardly get chances to connect with nature in my city life. So, I wanted to make the most of it. Looking back, I feel proud because it not only relaxed my mind but also gave me unforgettable memories with my cousin.

Overall, I can say the trip to Chandigarh was great—it was not just about fun, but also about recharging my batteries and realizing that spending time outdoors is priceless.

    Follow-ups

    1. What sports do young people like?

Well, it really varies from person to person. For example, some youngsters prefer team sports like cricket or football because they enjoy group spirit, while others go for individual sports such as badminton or swimming. On the whole, the choice depends on their interest and lifestyle.

    2. What kind of people do extreme sports?
Generally speaking, extreme sports are done by people who love adventure and thrill. In other words, they are often risk-takers who enjoy pushing their limits and testing their courage.

    3. Why are some people willing to try dangerous extreme sports?
The key reason is that these activities make people feel very excited. Apart from that, some people also want to step out of their comfort zone and prove to themselves that they can handle challenges.

    4. Should people take more into account the risks that extreme sports may bring?
Yes, of course. On the one hand, extreme sports are exciting, but on the other hand, they can cause serious injuries. So, people should always think twice, use safety equipment, and understand the risks before trying such sports.

    5. Why do people keep inventing new and slightly dangerous sports?
To be honest, the main reason is human curiosity and interest. People always look for something new and exciting. In addition, new sports also attract attention, give variety, and sometimes even become a source of income or fame.

    6. What risks are there in extreme sports, and who takes these consequences?
Well, the risks are mostly physical injuries like fractures or sprains, and sometimes even life-threatening accidents. Normally, the participants themselves take these consequences, but sometimes their families also suffer emotionally and financially.
