Describe a famous person you would like to meet

    Who he/she is

    How you knew him/her

How/where you would like to meet him her

And explain why you would like to meet him/her

    Vocabulary/ Idioms

    1. Countless – too many to be counted
    2. Made a name for themselves – became famous or well-known
    3. Selfless service – helping others without expecting anything in return
    4. Sewa events – charitable activities or community service events
    5. Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity – a rare and unique chance
    6. Chasing money – focusing only on earning wealth, often at the expense of other important values
    7. Breath of fresh air – something or someone that is refreshing and different, providing relief from a dull or negative atmosphere
    8. Generous – willing to give or share without expecting anything in return
    9. To kick-start my response – to begin or initiate something

Well, there are countless celebrities in the world who have made a name for themselves through talent, fame, and success. However, to kick-start my response, I would like to talk about a famous person who has earned respect not just for popularity, but for his selfless service to humanity — Bhai Gurpreet Singh ji, the person behind the NGO ‘Manukhta Di Sewa’.”

I first came to know about him through social media and local news, where I saw videos of him helping poor families, organizing free medical camps, and building homes for the homeless. His work really touched my heart, and I started following his updates regularly.

If I ever get a chance, I would love to meet him during one of his sewa events. I would like to join him in distributing food or blankets to the poor. I believe such an experience would be not only humbling but also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn from someone who lives just to serve others.

The reason I want to meet him is simple — he is a living example of kindness and compassion. In today’s world where most people are chasing money, he is walking a different path by putting humanity first. His words and actions are truly a breath of fresh air, and I think meeting him would motivate me to be more generous and helpful.

All in all, Bhai Gurpreet Singh ji is not just a famous person to me, but a real hero who is changing lives. I would feel honoured to meet him and maybe even take part in his noble mission.

    Follow-ups

    1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of being a famous child?

On the one hand, being a famous child can offer various advantages, such as access to high-quality education and career opportunities. For example, many young actors receive acting training at prestigious institutions. On the other hand, there are significant downsides, such as a lack of privacy and constant media attention, which can lead to stress.

    1. What can today’s children do to become famous?

Today’s children can become famous primarily through social media platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram by sharing their unique talents, such as singing, dancing, or creating comedy skits. For example, children who post engaging content regularly can quickly gain a following and attract attention.

    1. What can children do with their fame?

Children can use their fame to inspire others and support meaningful causes, such as education, environment, or health awareness. They can also use their platform to develop careers in acting, music, or entrepreneurship. Moreover, fame gives them a voice to influence positive change in society from a young age.

    1. Do people become famous because of their talent?

While talent is often a key factor in achieving fame, it is not always the only reason. Some people gain fame through media exposure or personal branding, which can play a significant role in their rise to popularity. However, in many fields, talent remains a major factor, especially in industries like sports, music, and acting, where exceptional skills and abilities are highly valued.
