Getting up early is always considered beneficial because it makes people feel fresh, energetic, and productive throughout the day. However, today I would like to talk about a particular occasion when I had to wake up much earlier than usual. It happened last month when my family and I planned a trip to Amritsar.
As far as I remember, we wanted to start our journey early in the morning in order to avoid heavy traffic and enjoy pleasant weather. Therefore, I woke up at around four o’clock, even though our journey was supposed to begin at six. Since it was a holiday, waking up that early was slightly challenging, but I pulled myself together and started preparing for the trip without wasting any time.
After getting up, I freshened up and got ready quickly. Meanwhile, my family members were also busy making preparations. We packed some homemade food, water bottles, and other essential items for the journey. In fact, everyone was working hand in glove, so all the preparations were completed smoothly and on time. Once everything was ready, we finally hit the road and started our journey towards Amritsar.
The main reason I got up early was that we did not want to waste time on the road due to traffic congestion. Moreover, travelling early in the morning is always more comfortable because the weather remains cool and peaceful. As the saying goes, “the early bird catches the worm,” and that day I truly felt it.
To be honest, I felt extremely excited and energetic that day. Even though I sacrificed my sleep, I was over the moon because I love travelling with my family. The fresh morning air, empty roads, and excitement of visiting a beautiful city made the entire experience memorable for me. Without a doubt, it was one of the best mornings I have had in recent times, and the trip started on a high note.
