You took your family to a nearby restaurant. You were disappointed with the meal and wish to complain to the manager.

Write a letter to the manager of the restaurant. In your letter,

Dear Manager,

I am writing to express my disappointment following a recent visit to your restaurant, The Garden View, on Saturday evening. I brought my family there to celebrate my parents’ wedding anniversary, expecting a pleasant dining experience.

Unfortunately, the meal fell far below our expectations. Firstly, the food arrived almost 45 minutes late, and despite ordering in advance, one of the main courses was completely missed. Either the staff forgot to note it down or the kitchen overlooked it. Secondly, the dishes were served cold and lacked flavour, especially the grilled chicken, which was dry and overcooked. Not only was the service slow, but the staff also seemed uninterested in addressing our concerns.

If we had received a sincere apology or some form of compensation, we might have felt more valued as customers. I would like you to investigate what went wrong and ensure better staff training. A refund or a discount voucher would be appreciated to make up for this unpleasant experience.
