Well, to begin with, every individual makes small decisions in daily life, like what to eat or what to wear. However, some important decisions are easier to make with the help of other people. Here, I would like to talk about an important decision I made with the help of others—losing weight—which, to be honest, was not a piece of cake for me.

Actually, I made this decision around two years ago. My mother had always been concerned about my weight and often said I was becoming a couch potato. Her advice made me take an honest look at my lifestyle and realize that I needed to make a change. At first, I reflected on my eating habits, level of physical activity, and overall health. I knew I wanted to improve my well-being and make sustainable changes.

As my mother suggested, I started exercising and going for regular walks to stay fit as a fiddle. Moreover, I consulted a healthcare professional who helped me create a plan, including a balanced diet and proper calorie intake. They also explained the benefits of regular exercise and guided me on how to stick to a routine.

In addition, I set both short-term and long-term goals, like losing a certain amount of weight within a specific timeframe and doing regular exercise in my daily life. This decision was crucial not just for my physical health, but also for boosting my energy and overall well-being.

Last but not least, this decision was about more than just losing weight—it was about adopting a healthy lifestyle that I could maintain over time, which was a blessing in disguise because it improved my quality of life. Looking back, I felt proud, motivated, and over the moon that I could make such a positive change with the help and support of my mother and the guidance I received from the professional.

    Follow-ups

    1. What kind of decisions do you think are meaningful?
Well, in my opinion, meaningful decisions are those that have a long-term impact on our life, such as choosing a career, deciding on education, or making lifestyle changes. These decisions often shape our future and help us grow as individuals.
    2. What important decisions should be made by teenagers themselves?
I believe the prime decisions that teenagers should make themselves include choosing their hobbies, subjects in school, or friends. Making such choices helps them develop independence and confidence in their own judgment.
    3. Why are some people unwilling to make quick decisions?
Some people may be unwilling to make quick decisions because they lack confidence or knowledge about the situation. Moreover, they may fear making mistakes, which makes decision-making feel like a hard nut to crack.
    4. Do people like to ask for advice more for their personal life or their work?
Well, it depends on the person and the situation. Some prefer advice for personal matters like relationships or health, while others seek guidance for work or career choices, especially when the stakes are high.
    5. Why do some people like to ask others for advice?
Many people ask for advice to make better decisions and avoid mistakes. In addition, getting another person’s perspective can provide clarity and reassurance. For example, someone may consult a friend or mentor to feel more confident before making an important choice.
