In this rapidly changing world, achieving success through hard work or external factors has become a matter of debate. While some people argue that hard work and determination are the keys to success, others believe that money, appearance, and social background play a more crucial role. This essay will examine both perspectives before presenting my opinion.
On one hand, many individuals believe that success is largely the result of consistent effort and strong willpower. Hard work not only allows people to develop their skills but also prepares them to face challenges. For instance, many famous entrepreneurs such as Elon Musk and Oprah Winfrey succeeded despite humble beginnings, thanks to their persistence and dedication. Moreover, determination helps individuals remain focused on their goals, even in the face of repeated failures. If a person keeps improving and learning, they increase their chances of achieving success regardless of their starting point.
On the other hand, some people argue that external factors like wealth and physical appearance cannot be ignored. Money, for example, provides access to better education, networks, and opportunities, which can significantly boost one’s path to success. Similarly, good looks may lead to advantages, especially in careers such as entertainment or public relations. Despite having talent, individuals who lack resources or appearance might face limitations that others do not.
In my view, although/even though external factors may offer initial advantages, they are not enough on their own. Success especially depends on consistent effort and inner motivation. Either rich or attractive people will not maintain success without hard work and the right mindset.
In conclusion, although money and looks can influence certain aspects of life, success mainly depends on hard work and determination. Not only do these qualities build character, but they also ensure long-term achievement.
