Time flies so fast, but some memories remain fresh in our minds forever. One such memory is of my first day at school, which was both exciting and a bit scary for me.
School days are the golden period of life, and that very first day left a strong impression on my heart.

The school I went to was just a few kilometers from my home, located in the heart of the city. It was a well-known school with a beautiful building and a big playground.

That day, my father took me to school on his scooter. I still remember holding his hand tightly, as I was a little nervous about meeting new people and being away from home for the first time.

As soon as I entered the classroom, I saw many children crying and holding their parents’ hands tightly. I had tears in my eyes as well. But soon, a friendly teacher welcomed me with a warm smile and gave me a colourful toy to make me comfortable. Later, we sang poems, coloured pictures, and even got chocolates. Slowly, the fear disappeared, and I began to enjoy the atmosphere.

In the beginning, I felt down in the dumps and out of place, but as the day passed, I started feeling on cloud nine. The teacher’s kindness and friendly classmates made it a memorable start to my school life.

To sum up, my first day at school was like an emotional rollercoaster — I was anxious at first, but by the end, it turned into a joyful experience. All in all, it was a day I will never forget, and even now, thinking about it brings a smile to my face.

Follow-ups

  1. How do parents prepare their kids to go to school on the first day?
To begin with, parents usually talk positively about school to reduce fear. In addition, they buy new uniforms, bags, and lunchboxes to excite their children. For example, my cousin’s mom packed his favourite food to make him feel at ease.
  2. How do children socialize with each other?
Well, generally speaking, children socialize through games, group activities, and classroom tasks. Moreover, they connect with each other over shared interests like cartoons or toys. For instance, my nephew made a new friend just by sharing his crayons.
  3. Is socialization important for children?
Definitely yes. Socialization helps children learn teamwork, build confidence, and understand emotions. Furthermore, it teaches them how to behave in different situations. For example, group play helps shy kids become more expressive.
  4. What are the reasons for a job change?
First and foremost, people often change jobs for better salary, growth, or work-life balance. Also, some leave due to stress or lack of satisfaction. For example, my friend recently switched jobs for a higher role in a new city.
  5. Are big companies better than small companies? Why?
It depends. Big companies usually offer better pay, stability, and training. However, small companies may provide more learning opportunities and flexible work. For instance, in startups, employees often take on different responsibilities and learn faster.
  6. What are the advantages and disadvantages of changing jobs?
On the one hand, changing jobs brings higher salary and fresh experience. On the other hand, it can cause stress and require adjustment. For example, my cousin got a better job but took months to adapt to the new environment.
